Small but mighty

The OREA BREWER O1, also known as the BABY O, is a unibody flat-bottom dripper designed specifically for brewing the perfect single-cup coffee. Stable, fast, portable, and versatile.

Why we made this dripper

Another dripper? Really? Yes! Because many people asked OREA for it, and here is why: OREA stopped making small/unibody/155-size drippers a few years ago, wanting to focus on a single size to simplify everything from paper filters and guides to supply chain management. While large drippers are versatile, small drippers excel in two areas that many people care about:

  • Better for small doses: Many customers only brew single cups (10-18g) and want a dripper that fits this range better. Smaller devices allow the kettle spout to get closer to the coffee bed, providing better control over flow and agitation. Also, small drippers use less material, absorbing less heat from the coffee slurry during brewing.

  • More portable: Small drippers are easier to pack and lighter, fitting easily into any corner of a bag. Being able to take it with you is very easy, which is very important for many people!

Crystal clear

Although OREA’s first plastic dripper (V3 Trogamid) was also transparent, it wasn't as refined as the O1. It took time to find a manufacturer that truly valued quality and detail—in fact, it took nearly 5 years. From mold design and polishing to every detail of the injection molding process, we created the perfect product without any injection marks or flow lines. This is the highest-quality plastic dripper in the industry—without a doubt. We boldly invite you to compare it with any product made by others. It is as clear as glass, yet extremely durable and impact-resistant. Made from single-material, 100% food-safe, and BPA-free Tritan plastic, it is meticulously polished and manufactured in a family-run boutique plastic factory. With the O1, we hope to set a new quality standard for plastic coffee drippers: high-quality materials, higher execution standards, and an extreme pursuit of detail. OREA only builds the best products!

  • Premium materials: There are secrets and mislabeling in the industry. Many companies that produce "cheap drippers" claim they are TRITAN, but actually use lower-grade PCTG. This material has poorer impact resistance, lower optical clarity, and feels quite different. OREA uses genuine Eastman Tritan from the USA 🇺🇸. Using genuine material is vital—even if it costs more—because everyone knows it is safe at high temperatures and achieves the expected durability. The original American material has been used for years by well-known companies like Nalgene for bottles in contact with hot and cold water.

  • Unibody: The OREA Brewer O1 is a clean, single-piece work of art. Minimalist, lightweight, and very compact—no moving parts. If you like a dripper that is fuss-free, easy to clean, simple, and flexible—this one is made for you. Made from BPA-free Tritan plastic with excellent optical clarity, it pays tribute to the refinement of our first-generation transparent V3 while continuing the compact size of the V2 and showcasing a design moving toward the future.

Original open bottom

OREA’s original open-bottom design has been applied for years in its glass, ceramic, and V4 plastic drippers. The open bottom provides a support ridge for flat-bottom filter papers to sit on, aiming to find the perfect balance between support and space. The filter paper naturally bends in the middle, guiding water to flow more centrally through the coffee bed. With this style of dripper, you get the most unique acidity, achieving a water flow pattern more like a conical dripper within a shallow, flat coffee bed. It can showcase lively, candy-like acidity without sacrificing balance, sweetness, and body. It is a masterpiece that has been widely imitated but never truly replicated.

  • Extremely stable performance: For years, this design has been praised by customers for its high consistency between every brew. To some extent, this is OREA’s least interventionist design, letting gravity decide the flow and the state of the coffee bed. People love this inherent purity and the stability it brings. The flavor in the cup lies between a conical dripper and a traditional flat-bottom dripper: the acidity is brighter and cleaner, while maintaining excellent balance. Compared to OREA’s other flat-bottom drippers, this bottom design brews a lighter body that is more like tea. If you are looking for a heavier body, we recommend using OREA’s V4 or Z1 drippers.

Filter paper selection

OREA’s Z1 dripper has only one filter paper option, while the O1 offers greater flexibility. You can use different types of filter paper for various brewing methods.

  • Wave filter papers: Wave filters are easy to operate, fast to brew, and very easy to buy. They allow for more bypass and air circulation, forming a narrower coffee bed. Usually, with the same parameters, the brewed coffee has a lower concentration. Many people love its convenience, plug-and-play nature, and fast extraction time. The O1 is compatible with traditional 155-size wave filters / our SMALL wave filters.

  • Flat filter papers: Flat filters are fun and delicious. Due to reduced bypass and the creation of a wider, shallower coffee bed in the dripper, they provide higher extraction quality. Many people love the juiciness, sweetness, and full body it brings, as it ensures more water flows through the coffee rather than around it. The O1 is compatible with small 155 OREA flat filters / small 155 Sibarist FAST flat filters.

  • Experiment and explore: There is no standard answer as to which filter to use; it depends on what you value! We will continue to explore and support multiple extraction styles for flat-bottom drippers. We love seeing everyone actively trying various—sometimes even exotic—brewing methods. This is exactly the spirit of OREA—we hope you never stop exploring.

Supply chain choices

OREA works with a family-run boutique plastic manufacturer in Taiwan to produce the O1. They treat their employees well and fairly, and do their best to source all raw materials locally in Taiwan. They treat their products with special care and respect. We know that neither the pricing we give you nor the quotes they give us will be the lowest in the market—if you are looking for low prices, there are other companies to choose from. OREA focuses on quality and giving back to the supply chain—supporting people who run their businesses the right way.
