Los Lajones Bambu [GN10265] - Panama

Our Geisha Naturel lot 10265 comes from Los Lajones, Graciano Cruz's farm, in the Boquete region of Panama. The property itself is very interesting. Much of its land remains covered in forest, and coffee plantations occupy the higher elevations. It is in the Bambu plot, at nearly 2000 meters above sea level, that Graciano cultivated this Geisha. The name Bambu is not insignificant: the Geisha grows in an environment where bamboo is part of the native vegetation and contributes to the landscape of the plot. Graciano Cruz's approach is built around classic processing methods, with a desire to work with the coffee without trying to make it artificially spectacular. The principle is rather to give the fruit and the variety enough time to express what they have to say.

Here, we offer a Natural Geisha where the fruit doesn't try to mask the variety: blood orange, jasmine, lavender, and passion fruit layer in a floral and tropical cup. A cup where you find exactly what you're looking for: a grand Panamanian geisha. First, there's the blood orange, bringing that slightly bright bitterness of a complex citrus fruit, then the jasmine arrives on top, floral, airy, and fragrant. The lavender then adds a drier, even more aromatic dimension, while the passion fruit pushes the cup towards a tropical and sweet side.
