There are coffees that surprise from the very first sip, and our Gesha Village Surma Semi Anaerobic 26/E22 is one of them. Originating from the Ethiopian highlands, it reveals a vibrant cup where exotic fruits meet an elegant acidity. This batch comes from Gesha Village, a farm renowned for its demanding approach to coffee cultivation and its meticulous work with Gesha varieties.
The Surma plot, associated with lot 26/E22, benefits from an altitude terroir conducive to the slow ripening of cherries and a beautiful aromatic complexity.
The semi-anaerobic method involves controlling part of the fermentation process in an oxygen-poor environment. This technique highlights the coffee's natural potential without masking its character. It brings out more depth, a silkier texture, and a distinct fruity expression.
In the cup, you'll find generous, sweet, and tropical notes of pineapple, juicy lemon, and a delicate finish of red berries. The cup is fresh, elegant, and expressive.
