Familiar Shape, Larger Size
The OREA BREWER O2, also known as the BIG BABY O, is a one-piece flat-bottom dripper designed for brewing the perfect cup of coffee for 1-2 people.

Why we made it
The OREA O1 dripper has a massive fan base around the world - and for good reason. It’s consistent, brews delicious coffee, fits in your pocket, and is incredibly cute. Since the launch of the O1, many have requested a larger version from OREA because they enjoy larger cups of coffee, or because they are brewing for two (partners, roommates, parents, or at the office). Over the past 1.5 years, we have also been working on developing immersion-style options, which often require a dripper capable of holding a larger volume of water at once.
Special Launch Edition
The DARTH BLACK O2 is the debut version of this new model. This is perhaps the deepest black OREA has ever produced, with a hint of transparency. We wanted to introduce this product in a special way, paying homage to our original V3 Bright Black version, but with deeper pigmentation and higher transparency so we can still see the extraction process inside. This is a very unique piece in OREA's release history - ready to challenge any dripper in the universe.
Impeccable Construction
Finding the right manufacturer who truly cares about quality and detail takes time. In fact, it took OREA nearly 5 years. The attention to mold design, polishing, and the injection molding process itself has resulted in this perfect object, free of injection marks or ripples. It is the highest-quality plastic dripper in the industry - without a doubt. We dare you to compare it to anything else on the market.
Made from a single piece of 100% food-safe, BPA-free Tritan plastic. Carefully manufactured and polished to perfection in a boutique, family-run plastics factory. The O1 set the standard for how a plastic dripper should look, and the O2 does the same, just in a larger size.
Quality Materials
There are some unspoken secrets in the industry regarding many companies that make "cheap drippers" using incorrect plastic labels. In fact, many drippers labeled TRITAN are not - they use lower-grade PCTG material. This material has lower impact resistance, lower optical clarity, and feels completely different. OREA uses genuine American Eastman Tritan. Using the real thing matters (even if it’s more expensive) because we know this material is safe at high temperatures and achieves the expected durability. This material, originally manufactured in the USA, has been used for years by well-known companies like Nalgene for their water bottles.
One-Piece Design
The OREA Brewer O2 is a clean, one-piece work of art. Simple, lightweight, and very compact - with no moving parts. If you like a dripper that is zero-fuss, easy to clean, simple, and flexible, this is perfect for you.
Original Open Bottom
For years, our original "OPEN" bottom design has been used in our glass, ceramic, V4, and O1 drippers. The open bottom provides a rim for the flat-bottom filter paper, designed to strike the perfect balance between support and space. The filter paper naturally dips in the middle, encouraging a more concentrated flow through the coffee bed. With this style of dripper, we discovered the most unique acidity profiles, creating a flow pattern closer to a cone in a shallower flat bed. It brings a candy-like acidity without sacrificing balance, sweetness, or body. It is a masterpiece that has been widely imitated but never replicated.
Ultimate Consistency
This design has been praised for years by customers for its consistency with every brew. In a way, this is our least interventionist design, letting gravity decide how the water flows and how the bed performs. We love this inherent simplicity and the stability it brings.
The brewed flavor profile falls between a conical dripper and a traditional flat-bottom dripper. The acidity is brighter and cleaner, but very balanced. Compared to OREA's other flat-bottom drippers, this base produces a lighter, more tea-like mouthfeel, for which many have praised it. If you are looking for a fuller-bodied coffee, the OREA Z1 dripper is recommended.
Expandability
With the release of the O2 come new accessories - such as our unique Regulators. The plug-and-play silicone base completely changes the dripper's flow pattern and flavor profile. One series explores contact time, while another explores immersion (or hybrid brewing), and is compatible with the Hario Switch base. In a sense, the O2 is our simplest dripper, but by using accessories, it may offer the most brewing methods and styles in a single device.
O1 vs. O2 Comparison
These two products are identical in the following aspects: aperture size, geometry, wall thickness, and material. The only difference is the height of the brewing chamber, which affects overall capacity and filter paper compatibility. The O2 is a taller device with more room for more coffee grounds and water. The O1 is designed for single-serving brews, while the O2 has a larger capacity. For single-serving brews, we recommend the O1 because of its moderate size, which allows you to keep your kettle spout closer to the bed. If you frequently brew for two, or are used to using more than 18g of coffee grounds, we recommend the O2.
Brewing Options
The O2 is more flexible, so you can brew in various ways and use different types of filter papers.
-
WAVE Filters: WAVE filters are simple, fast, and very easy to obtain worldwide. They allow for more bypass and airflow, and create a narrower coffee bed. Usually, with the same parameters, they produce a lower-concentration coffee. Many people love their ease of use, plug-and-play nature, and fast brew times. The O2 is compatible with traditional WAVE 185 size filters or OREA WAVE 185.
-
FLAT Filters: Flat filters are fun, delicious, and provide higher-quality extraction by reducing bypass and creating a wider, shallower bed in the dripper. Many people love that they help create juicy, sweet, and full-bodied coffee because they ensure more water flows through the coffee grounds rather than around them. The O2 is compatible with OREA FLAT 185 / SIBARIST OREA M / SIBARIST MARTIN WÖLFL.
-
Experimental Spirit: There is no single "correct" answer for which filter to use. It depends on what you value! We will continue to explore and support the many brewing styles of the flat-bottom dripper. We love to see people actually trying many (and sometimes strange) methods. This is in line with the OREA spirit - we want you to never stop exploring.

Supply Chain Choice
OREA manufactures the O2 in Taiwan with a boutique, family-run plastics manufacturer. They treat their workers well and fairly, and try their best to source everything locally in Taiwan. They treat their products with special care and respect. We know the pricing we give you (or they give us) will never be the lowest - if you are looking for the absolute lowest price, you can buy from other companies. We focus on quality and reinvest value back into the supply chain - supporting those who do business the right way. OREA visits this factory 3-4 times a year, engaging with their team on the shop floor, to ensure OREA can continue to bring you the highest quality products.
